A bit of history....
The name "Tartiflette" comes from the word "Tartif" which mean "Potatoes"in Savoy. It originated in the 17th century from the farmers of the high mountain.
This traditional, nourishing and simple warm dish helped them to pass through the harsh winters. In 1997, Riches Monts, the specialist of Raclette cheese, created a distinctive cheese especially made for this Tartiflette recipe.
Warm, its creamy paste and melting texture reveal a sharp taste, ideal with a dry white wine from Savoy (or a light red wine) Quick and easy to prepare, this "Tartiflette" dish will satisfy all of the family.
You can also serve the cheese cold on your cheese plate. Your guests will enjoy this delicous soft and consistent textured cheese."
