Fromageries Riches Monts wasn't born yesterday. It has inherited its well established know-how from a longstanding tradition, handed down by successive generations of cheese-makers. The trade has been perpetuated in France's various regions upholding clear rules for how good cheese should be made.
Fromageries Riches Monts regroups seven production facilities located in different parts of France, each producing cheeses from area. For instance at Pacé in the Orne department they manufacture Le Rustique Camembert. In the same way as the other subsidiaries belonging to the Sodiaal group (Yoplait, Cedilac-Candia and Sodiaal Industrie) the dairies are supplied with milk by regional cooperatives.
Brand names to support our European strategy
Fromageries Riches Monts has based its development on well-known brand names which often win medals in the major food farming competitions.
Fromageries Riches Monts exports almost half of its production, in terms of volume. All of its cheese is produced in France.
The brands enable the company to communicate with consumers. Le Rustique, for instance, is fairly easy to translate into Italian or German and a strong, traditional French image can be maintained. For quite a few years now French cheeses and in particular traditional French savours have enjoyed considerable success abroad.
Our company is market leader for several segments - Raclette in Germany, Brie in the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and the United States. |
